Cassano Goes Berserk In Training
It hasn’t taken long for Antonio Cassano to demonstrate his temperamental side in Austria and Switzerland, after the Sampdoria man was involved in two unsavoury training ground incidents.
Cassano was the surprise inclusion in Roberto Donadoni’s 23-man squad for the Euros, as he was preferred to Milan hitman Pippo Inzaghi.
While few doubt the genius of the Sampdoria forward, many feel his presence is a huge risk given his volatile personality and that his bad boy ways could damage the unity in the camp.
These fears may start to be realised after Cassano went berserk during a training session in Austria. The 25-year-old reacted furiously to a fair tackle from defender Giorgio Chiellini, before then proceeding to aim a volley of obscenities at the Juve defender, who is still said to be deeply upset after the challenge on Tuesday that has ruled captain Fabio Cannavaro out of the tournament.
Cassano didn’t stop there, as just minutes later he threw himself into an X-rated tackle on another defender Andrea Barzagli. Fortunately the new Wolfsburg man escaped unhurt.
Coach Roberto Donadoni was forced to step in to calm an agitated Cassano down, but tempers continued to fray in the changing rooms after training, with many players angry with Cassano’s conduct.
While the incident is now said to be forgotten, the Bari-native’s behaviour is certainly a cause of concern at this difficult time following the massive injury loss of Cannavaro

Andrea Barzagli, Cavaliere Ufficiale OMRI[1][2], (born May 8, 1981 in Fiesole) is an Italian World Cup-winning footballer, who plays in defence for Palermo. Next season Barzagli will play for Bundesliga team VfL Wolfsburg.
His first football appearances were for Rondinella Firenze; then he played for Pistoiese, Ascoli and Chievo, before being signed by Palermo in the summer of 2004.
He has 22 caps for the Italian national football team, and was promoted to the role of starter for the 2006 FIFA World Cup quarter-final against Ukraine after an injury to Alessandro Nesta and the suspension of Marco Materazzi.
Barzagli also won a bronze medal with the Italian Olympic team in 2004.
Recently, Palermo president had made official assertion that there was a contract offer from Fiorentina, with Juventus also seemed to be interested in this defender.
On May 27, 2008, Barzagli signed a 3 year contract with VfL Wolfsburg.[3]

- Amauri, Barzagli, Zaccardo klara UT.
- gammelmannen Liverani samt Juves Nocerino klara IN.
Semiofficiellt forumlag i bundesliga?
